Our Commitment

The Mastercard Foundation is committed to integrity, acting in good conscience, and maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and behaviour. We encourage open, honest communication regarding our governance, finances, compliance with internal controls, and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you have a concern about a suspected violation of the Foundation’s Global Code of Ethics, Foundation policies, breaches of law or ethical standards, other inappropriate behaviour, or any action, situation or event which could result in adverse consequences for the Foundation or its stakeholders, we want you to feel comfortable speaking to somebody at the Foundation about it.

Understanding there may be situations where you are uncomfortable reporting a matter in person, we have partnered with a third-party service provider, NAVEX, to accommodate such circumstances through its platform. We have established the Mastercard Foundation EthicsLine, a completely confidential and anonymous tool for Foundation employees and external stakeholders to report any:

  • Violations of the Mastercard Foundation Global Code of Ethics;
  • Violations of Mastercard Foundation Policies;
  • Breaches of law or ethical standards;
  • Any type of inappropriate behaviour by a Board member, partner, staff member, or any individual claiming to represent the Foundation; or
  • Any other action, situation or event which could result in likely or actual adverse consequences for the Foundation or its stakeholders.

Listening is a core value at the Foundation, and we encourage you to use the Mastercard Foundation EthicsLine to raise any suspicions or concerns about wrongdoing that you believe should be heard and addressed.

To the greatest extent possible, the Foundation treats all matters as confidential, whether received anonymously or otherwise.

All reports submitted will be promptly assessed, investigated, and resolved by a dedicated team. We ask that you provide as many details as possible in your report. Follow-up will be conducted through the EthicsLine platform.

We promise that your concerns will be heard.

See the EthicsLine FAQs for more information.

To Make a Report

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
